Radio Operations Engineer – Nebraska Public Media, Lincoln

Radio Operations Engineer

Summary: Nebraska Public Media is seeking a Radio Operations Engineer to support the technical equipment and IT components of its statewide radio network in collaboration with engineering and IT teams. This role is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, repairing, and monitoring radio studio equipment, as well as maintaining related documentation. The technician will develop and oversee preventative maintenance schedules, set up and operate remote production equipment for both in-studio and field broadcasts, and serve as a field engineer. Additional responsibilities include responding to operational issues and outages on an on-call basis and training radio staff in the use of studio hardware and software.


Qualifications: An associate’s or similar two-year technical degree in communications/electronic equipment or related discipline of study OR equivalent work experience (3 years) using, maintaining, repairing, modifying, and testing communications/electronic equipment.
