Applications are being accepted for the 52nd Kiplinger Fellowship, which will be held on March 23-28, 2025 at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in Athens. The application deadline is Nov. 1.
The focus of the 2025 fellowship is artificial intelligence and its impact on journalism. Chosen fellows will spend a week in Columbus and Athens learning about such topics as fake-spotting, how to effectively and ethically use AI for writing, research and editing. The program will also explore AI in audio and video, AI use in data journalism and share experiences from newsrooms all over the world.
Kiplinger will cover the cost of the training, lodging, most of the meals and provide a travel stipend to help offset expenses. Applicants must be working journalists with at least five years of experience. Contact Kevin Smith at smithk7@ohio.edu with any questions.
