KTIC Radio in West Point, Nebraska is seeking a full-time, in-person radio announcer for a rare on-air opening. This position is based in West Point and requires daily, on-site work. Remote candidates will not be considered.
We are looking for a broadcaster who can wear multiple hats and thrive in a fast-paced, community-focused radio environment. Experience is strongly preferred; however, we are also willing to train a standout candidate with demonstrated talent, strong instincts, and a willingness to learn.
The Job
This role offers variety, responsibility, and room to grow. Daily and ongoing duties may include:
- Host an on-air shift
- Gather, write, and deliver news
- Interviews and on-site reporting
- Occasional live remotes and public appearances
- Create, upload, and manage content for our website and social media platforms
- Collaborate across departments to support station programming and initiatives
Play-by-play opportunities in football, volleyball, basketball, and wrestling may be available for interested candidates, though this is not a sports-first position.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate:
- Is adaptable, dependable, and comfortable being a “Swiss Army knife” broadcaster
- Has strong communication and interviewing skills
- Is confident engaging with the public and representing the station
- Brings news experience or multi-role broadcast experience (highly desirable)
- Is motivated to grow professionally and contribute to a strong team culture
This position can be shaped to some degree around the strengths of the right individual.
