Veteran radio broadcaster Larry Cotnoir was honored on October 24 in Kearney as a recipient of an NBA Career Achievement Award.
Cotnoir’s career has included stops at KCNI/KBBN in Broken Bow, KUVR in Holdrege, KZMC in McCook and KAMI/KOOC in Cozad. His work includes announcing, sports play-by-play, program direction, sales, and advertising writing and production. Cotnoir also provides color commentary alongside Jayson Jorgensen for UNK home football games on KRVN.
The NBA Career Achievement Award recognizes member station personnel from any station department who have demonstrated a significant, long-term commitment to their career in Nebraska radio and/or television broadcasting. Nominees must have worked in Nebraska radio and/or television for at least 25 years.
