Job Summary/Description:
Morning News Co-Anchor with Reporter / MMJ duty during the rest of the day. Generate story ideas for broadcast news and digital news platforms. Role includes producer, anchor and reporter responsibility.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
-Anchoring/producing morning newscasts in collaboration with your producer and co-anchor
-Cover local news for the day after the morning show, including content for digital platforms
-Represent the station at public functions as needed
-Perform all the regular duties of a reporter, from story ideas to shooting, editing, and going live, as well as posting on digital and social platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
We need people on our team who have a passion for learning about our community and our audience and who authentically demonstrate that passion on the air, on-line and especially in person. Our audience embraces our talent because we show them that we care. On-air experience at a professional news station, a college degree or equivalent job experience in a journalism related field is desired, as well as the ability to communicate live on-screen in a professional manner, for all of our media channels.
