Record labels are aggressively pushing the so-called American Music Fairness Act (AMFA) – federal legislation that would funnel money away from local radio stations and into the labels’ own pockets. Such a tax would hinder local stations’ ability to inform, entertain and serve in the ways that listeners have always enjoyed.
