Broadcast Careers: KMTV, Omaha - News Internship

The KMTV News Internship is a paid program that gives students real-world experience and provides a unique insight into different roles in the newsroom (producer, multimedia journalist, real time editor, photographer).  

We work with colleges and universities to provide students the opportunity to apply coursework learned or taught in the classroom with practice in the workplace.

 

 What We Require:

 The Internship program offers college students the opportunity to take a first step into the broadcasting industry. Interns must be:

 
  Enrolled at an accredited college or university

 



 To receive course credit, students must comply with all school
requirements as well as all station requirements. Grade point average and
leadership experience are also an important part of the total assessment of
student applicants.

 



 Interns are expected to work an average of 26 hours per week. The days
and times are based on student availability and departmental needs.
