NRG Media Omaha is looking for a Director of Sales.  Our radio stations include 1620 the Zone and 1180 Zone 2, Power 106.9, Sweet 98.5, La Nueva 99.5/1020, 101.9 The Keg and News Talk 1290 KOIL, and multiple digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, manage and achieve multiple stations sales budgets.
  • Hyper-organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Develop and implement a sales plan that will meet station’s revenue goals with emphasis on Customer-Focused selling to direct clients focusing on their needs, digital, NTR, on-air features and other programming elements.
  • Strategic thinking and vision to create revenue generating ideas for the sales team.
  • Manage administrative functions including: inventory, forecasting, order approval, and pricing through Marketron.
  • Conduct weekly individual focused meetings with Sales Team members to discuss and review:  pending business, proposals, direct and agency presentations, and assist in developing weekly strategy for each seller.
  • Oversee CRM system and manage master Account List
  • Lead weekly cluster sales meeting and provide weekly sales training.
  • Work in conjunctions with sellers to develop creative, customer oriented solutions to drive on-air, digital and event revenue. 
  • Develop and building solid customers relationships and provide outstanding customer service to all clients.
  • Maintain an ongoing talent bank through recruitment efforts to ensure we have the strongest potential candidates in the funnel.
  • Recruit, train, coach, lead and develop high-performing sellers to ensure top-line growth
  • Provide coaching and leadership to sales team by attending direct client meetings, agencies presentations and attending Key Account presentations
  • Lead communication with other departments to assure quality service when placing orders and arranging promotions
  • Work hand in hand with NSM by serving as the national back up and assisting in rate negotiations.
  • Participate in business & community associations to develop strong relationships with local influencers and decision makers
  • Assist in the selling process by attending both direct and agency client meetings with the sellers
  • Serve as the point person for all special event sales

Experience:
3-5 years of experience in broadcast sales and sales management preferred with a proven track record of success in the radio industry.Strong coaching, training and leadership skills.Ability to motivate both experienced and rookie sellers.High energy, passion for radio, results oriented, positive attitude and roll-up-your sleeves mentality.Proficient in all aspects of radio and digital salesFamiliar with the budgeting process, daily A.E. accountability, inventory management, collections, and Sales Force experienced is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field is preferred
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills are a must.
  • Must be flexible and creative
