Job Summary/Description: WOWT is seeking a Co-anchor 2.5 hour morning newscast Monday – Friday, 4:30am – 7am. Produce and anchor Midday newscast, three or more days a week. Report/produce packages for 10pm newscast as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

– Anchoring newscast

– Writing

– Producing

– Editing

– Posting stories on the web

– Posting content to station social media platforms

– Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Communications is preferred

– 3 years prior experience as a broadcast news anchor

– Must have solid people skills and be able to function in a “team” environment when working with reporters and producers

– Ability to operate under constant deadline pressure

– Strong computer and graphics skills

– Strong writing skills and ability to write accurately and creatively under constant deadline pressure
