Responsibilities:
1. Manage the financial performance and operations of the stations with a focus on operational efficiencies.
2. Achieve budgeted financial goals and grow the Station’s revenue share and programming performance.
3. Help increase the Station’s viewing audience by serving the interests of the community.
4. Protect the Station’s license through disciplined adherence to the FCC rules and regulations.
5. Train, manage, and motivate all Station personnel.
6. Be effective in leading department heads and staff.
7. Promote teamwork within all areas of Station operations.
8. Train the sales team to sell products and services.
9. Develop strong relationships with local clients.
10. Manage Station relations with the community.
Requirements:
• Preferred 10 years of experience in a similar role in a TV station or in a senior television management role.
• Hands-on TV advertising sales and operational background is a must
• Effective negotiator and motivator
• Outstanding leadership skills
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Wide Orbit preferred
