Allison Smith, since 2018 the news director at KCCI-TV, Hearst Television’s Des Moines CBS affiliate, has been promoted to president and general manager of KETV, the Hearst-owned ABC affiliate in Omaha.
Smith will join KETV on January 21, succeeding Shawn Oswald who was recently named president and general manager of co-owned WISN-TV in Milwaukee. Smith graduated from Waverly (NE) High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast News from Drake University in Des Moines.
