WOWT is accepting applications for a full-time Weekend Morning Anchor/Producer/Reporter.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is for a voracious news gatherer. The ideal candidate can produce and anchor weekend morning newscasts and report three days a week. Produce a compelling newscast, aggressive breaking news coverage. Developingand reporting stories. Contributing content to station social media platform. Public appearances on behalf of station. Other duties as assigned.


Must demonstrate strong skills in...

Candidates should have at least two years’ experience as a newscast anchor and/or reporter for a broadcast news station or news website. Duties of this job include anchoring, live reporting, shooting video, editing, creative writing, producing and posting of news stories, both hard news and features. Must have good writing skills and must be able to work well under strict deadline pressure.



The successful applicant’s background must include, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field.  He/she must be a self-starter, with knowledge of and ability to operate state-of-the-art television news equipment as well as website publishing. Ability to work under intense studio lighting and to work at a computer for long periods of time.
