Sweet 98.5 KQKQ has long been a key part of NRG Media's seven-station cluster in Omaha, Nebraska (Market 74). Now we need a Hot AC Brand Manager who has it all and does it all.
Someone who gets the music right, of course, and who sounds great on-air.
But not just an old school Program Director. Someone who understands that the brand is bigger than the music, and that the attraction of the brand depends largely on the local talent and local content that you wrap around it, and the way you promote the brand to the listeners and the community.
That means someone willing to get involved in the local community, particularly with those parts of the community that resonate with the Hot AC brand. Someone who is happy to be one of the public faces of the station and to energetically represent it at frequent live remotes and other events.
We need someone who doesn't merely tolerate sales people but who really enjoys working with them to come up with promotions, packages, sponsorships, endorsements and events that promote the station and add revenue. Someone who can bring a spirit of creativity and mutual respect to a team where these values matter.
Social media and other digital smarts would be a huge plus. We are fully committed to this part of the media universe and we want every new hire to have these skills.
Whether you are in the core Hot AC demo yourself or not you must completely understand and relate to the demo -- who they are; how they live, work and play; and what interests them. You will comprehend that it's always about them, not about you.
Above all we want someone who understands that the Hot AC format is dynamic, and the best Brand Managers will approach the job that way, knowing they need to constantly switch things up and keep them fresh to continue bringing in new listeners of all ages.
Are you that person? If you have talent, ideas and enthusiasm, and play well with others, please send us a cover letter, resume and air check demonstrating your Hot AC chops. You will be joining a winning team in a good company, one of the few left in this industry, where individual managers have a high degree of freedom.
